Fluid enhanced transvaginal ultrasound scanning, or sonohysterography, is a simple way to evaluate the inside of the uterus, particularly in settings of abnormal uterine bleeding or post menopausal bleeding.

It is excellent for measuring endometrial thickness, and visualizing intrauterine issues such as polyps and fibroid tumors.
